NetHui is coming to Southland!

At NetHui Southland, you won't see presentations, but rather discussions on topics that have been suggested by us, Southlanders. With Internet access, connectivity, education and migrant communities on the agenda, this is a chance for Southlanders to come together and discuss the wide-reaching impact of the Internet.
Scholarships to attend NetHui Southland are available for local women and nonbinary people who are interested in the tech sector. The scholarships will cover the cost of a ticket, local mileage and childcare during the day. Applications for the scholarships close 23 September 2018.

Transitioning to a low-emissions economy
New Zealand Productivity Commission Report
The New Zealand Productivity Commission has completed their inquiry into New Zealand transitioning to a lower net emissions economy and presented a final report to the Government. The report has concluded that New Zealand can indeed make the transition to a low-emissions economy but it will require consistent and concerted effort by us all – up to and beyond 2050.
