Innovation with a Southland Twist
The Business Accelerator programme is now in its second intake phase for 2018
The Venture Southland Business Accelerator programme is now in its second intake phase for 2018. The programme operates in partnership with CreativeHQ and funded by Callaghan Innovation.
It provides an ideal opportunity for new businesses or spinoff initiatives to find mentoring, advice and support for their early-stage ideas. The programme runs on a 12-week schedule aimed at preparing startups to validate their ideas, operate their business or find investment partners.
Notable successes for 2018 have included Forage & Graze selling paleo granola out of Winton and Koha Kai expanding their school meals and disability vocational training programme to a regional level. The programme also serves to connect local entrepreneurs with the wider innovation ecosystem in Queenstown, Dunedin and a national level.
Success here has included Mimicry Tech - the first Invercargill-based team being selected for the Mahuki cultural tech accelerator, a 4-month residential programme based at Te Papa in Wellington.
Do you fundraise?
Go in the draw to win a $100 voucher of your choice
Venture Southland's Business Accelerator Programme works with startups with new business initiatives. One of these startups is doing a survey to start validation of their business idea around fundraising. If you fundraise for either your child/children, a sports team or club, school or hobby group etc. they would love to hear all about your experiences with fundraising or when you purchase from fundraising activities.
Everyone who completes the survey goes in the draw to WIN a $100 voucher of their choice. This will be drawn 31 August 2018. Winner will be contacted via email.
